
A lever harp arrangement of Merry Go Round of Life by Joe Hisaishi from Howl’s Moving Castle. It can be tricky to play on the harp but it’s definitely very beautiful! In the sheet music video (34-string version), the tempo is set at 100bpm but I have found it to be more comfortable to play at around 70bpm (see video below). It is definitely slower than the original to give enough time for the many lever changes. But the tempo can of course be adjusted according to skill level.
Suitable for advanced intermediate level players (lever harp tuned in Eb major) and sheet music has lever change markings indicated. I’ve not tested the arrangement on a pedal harp so I’m not sure if it is suitable.
